BioI chose this name for reasons that some know, and some don't. Oddkins are heroes, the special friends to children who are in dire need of them. The book is Dean Koontz at his best, and a tender tale of heart and destiny. As a child, I had my own oddkins, and I remember them fondly. In times dark, they saved me.
I decided to take that term for this journal's name, a reminder of strength in dark times. Isaac Bodkins is the good toymaker who charges Amos, the brave golden bear, to protect all that is gentle and good. Sometimes, I like to think there's a little of them, both bear and toymaker, in me.
